No one knows exactly what causes acne. Hormone changes, such as those during the teenage years and pregnancy, probably play a role. There are many myths about what causes acne. Chocolate and greasy foods are often blamed, but there is little evidence that foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne; however, blackheads and pimples are not caused by dirt. Stress doesn't cause acne, but stress can make it worse.
Suffering from moderate to severe acne can be a very agonizing experience. As if that is not enough, things can take a turn for the worse. The fact is, even if the acne disappears over time, sometimes, it is unavoidable to leave behind scars. And no matter what method a person uses, he/she just couldn't get rid of that unsightly scar.
In eastern cultures like Chinese, Japanese, Indian cultures, their medicine talks abouts curing from inside out. For every illness they try to find a root inside. They try to cure the cause (your habits, your diet etc etc) while treating on the illness. This attitude helped me a lot when I was suffering from acne. Here are few of my observations...
